箴言-Proverbs 16

16:1　The plans of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from Jehovah.
心中的筹画在于人，舌头的应对出于耶和华。
16:2　All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, But Jehovah weighs the spirits.
人一切所行的，在自己眼中看为清洁，惟耶和华衡量人的灵。
16:3　Commit your works to Jehovah, And your purposes will be established.
你所作的要交托耶和华，你所谋的就必成就。
16:4　Jehovah has made everything for its own purpose, Yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.
耶和华所造的，各有其目的，连恶人也是为祸患的日子所造。
16:5　Every one who is proud in heart is an abomination to Jehovah; Be assured: He will not be unpunished.
凡心里骄傲的，为耶和华所憎恶；你要确信，他必不免受罚。
16:6　By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is expiated, And by the fear of Jehovah men depart from evil.
因怜悯真实，罪孽得蒙遮盖；因敬畏耶和华，人就远离恶事。
16:7　When a man's ways please Jehovah, He causes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
人所行的若蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华甚至使他的仇敌与他和好。
16:8　Better is a little with righteousness, Than great income with injustice.
少有进项却有公义，强如多有进项却无公理。
16:9　A man's heart devises his way, But Jehovah directs his steps.
人心筹算自己的道路，惟耶和华指引他的脚步。
16:10　A divine decision is on the lips of the king; His mouth will not transgress in judgment.
王的嘴中有神的判语；审判之时，他的口必不差错。
16:11　A just balance and just scales are Jehovah's; All the weights of the bag are His work.
公道的天平和秤都属耶和华；囊中的一切法码都是祂所制定的。
16:12　It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness, For the throne is established by righteousness.
作恶为王所憎恶，因国位是靠公义坚立。
16:13　Righteous lips are the delight of kings, And they love one who speaks right.
公义的嘴为王所喜悦，说话正直的，为王所喜爱。
16:14　The wrath of a king is as messengers of death, But a wise man will appease it.
王的震怒如死亡的使者，但智慧人能平息王怒。
16:15　In the light of the king's countenance is life, And his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.
王的脸光使人有生命，王的恩宠好像春雨的云。
16:16　How much better it is to acquire wisdom than gold, And to acquire understanding is to be chosen above silver.
得智慧胜似得金子，得聪明比得银子更可取。
16:17　The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.
正直人的道路是远离恶事；谨守自己道路的，保全自己的性命。
16:18　Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
骄傲在败坏以先；高傲的灵在跌倒之前。
16:19　It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
灵里谦卑与穷乏人来往，强如与骄傲人同分掳物。
16:20　He who gives heed to the word will find good, And blessed is he who trusts in Jehovah.
留心训言的必得好处，信靠耶和华的便为有福。
16:21　The wise in heart will be called discerning, And the sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.
心中有智慧的，必称为精明人；嘴中的甜言，加增说服力。
16:22　Insight is a fountain of life to him who has it, But the correction of fools is folly.
人有智虑，智虑是他生命的泉源，但愚妄人必被愚妄惩治。
16:23　The heart of the wise man instructs his mouth And adds persuasiveness to his lips.
智慧人的心教训他的口，又使他的嘴加增说服力。
16:24　Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
良言如同蜂房，使魂觉甘甜，使骨得医治。
16:25　There is a way which seems right to a man, But the end of it is the ways of death.
有一条路，人以为正，至终却是死亡之路。
16:26　The appetite of the laboring man labors for him; For his mouth urges him on.
劳力人的胃口使他劳力，因为他的口腹催逼他。
16:27　A worthless man digs up evil, And on his lips there is a scorching fire.
卑劣之徒挖出奸恶，嘴上仿佛有烧焦的火。
16:28　A perverse man spreads strife, And a whisperer separates close friends.
乖僻的人播散纷争，传闲话的人离间密友。
16:29　A man of violence entices his neighbor And leads him in a way that is not good.
强暴人诱惑邻舍，领他走不善的道路。
16:30　He who shuts his eyes does so to devise perverse things; He who compresses his lips brings evil to pass.
眼目紧合的，是在图谋乖僻的事；嘴唇紧闭的，是要成就邪恶。
16:31　The gray head is a crown of glory; It will be found in the way of righteousness.
白发是荣耀的冠冕，在公义的道路上必能得着。
16:32　He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; And he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city.
不轻易发怒的，胜过勇士；治服己灵的，强如取城。
16:33　The lot is cast into the lap, But everything it decides is from Jehovah.
签尽可投在怀里，一切决断却在于耶和华。
